This morning we launched a new Facebook application for Glenisk. The app is called Glenisk’s Tune Challenge – a Facebook based competition to find the soundtrack to the organic brands new TV advert (you can see the advert below). The competition is being run in association with Ray D’Arcy’s Today FM radio show. The winner, selected by a judging panel, will be announced live on air. They will also win a prize of €2,000 and, of course, have their music played on national television.
The competition has two phases. The first is the search for a 30 second piece of music. The tracks can be uploaded directly to the app from Glenisk’s Facebook page. Fans have until noon on Friday February 4th to get their music up. The app also allows fans to listen to the entries received so far.
The second phase begins on February 11th when a shortlist of entries will be announced. The overall winner will be selected by judges, but the public also get to vote for the fan favourite, which may or may not be the same as the judges choice. In return for voting every fan will receive a voucher for a free Glenisk yogurt.
The winner of the competition, selected by a three person judging panel, will be announced on Friday February 18th by Ray D’Arcy. The advert complete with soundtrack will be broadcast in March 2011.
